Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids’ Grand Opening

Join us for our Open House at Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids, 1320 Pepper Ave., Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494 on Friday, June 14th from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Partner. Invest. Celebrate.

The Open House at Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids will give our community the opportunity to tour our new location, learn more about the community partnerships that made this completion of the renovation possible, catch the vision of how to continue to invest through various means in the programs that we offer for residents and outside clients, and celebrate with us as we get ready to open our doors! Staff and Board Members will be present to greet and answer any questions the public has about our services. The entire project has been a community-wide effort, led by Ron Adamski from Ascent Construction LLC and Christy Nievinski, Director of the Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids.

Mission Statement

The Hannah Center exists to assist women and their children in crisis through compassion and guidance in a nurturing environment.

Upcoming Project: Kairos Care

Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids is set to pilot a new program based upon emerging needs within the client demographic to be served. The new program is titled “Kairos Care” coming from the meaning that this care is for a specific season in a someone’s life, for a moment in time when help is needed. Kairos Care is for outside clients who need assistance in life yet do not need housing. Throughout the renovation project Christy Nievinski learned firsthand about women who need help so that they do not lose their housing, or so they do not lose their parental rights. “Why wouldn’t we say yes to helping such an apparent need? We need to open our eyes and assess what is happening within our community and then respond as effectively with care and compassion,” said Nievinski. This program will also allow Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids to continue to work with other agencies like First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, The Family Center, Love Inc, and more. The Hannah Center in Wisconsin Rapids is currently raising funds to hire a staff person who will eventually oversee this new program. At our most recent fundraising event, Rapids Tasting Tour, this new program was featured as a “Fund-a Project.”

With the goal being $40K approximately $15k has been raised, which is around 35% of our goal. Funds will continue to be raised until the project is fully funded.
